War Child Heroes The Ultimate Covers Album is out now! All of the UK profits will be donated to War Child for their work protecting children living in war zones around the world. The album, released on 16th February, has 15 tracks picked by music icons from their own back catalogues and covered by a new act they have chosen! Tracks include Duffy singing Live And Let Die, Elbow and Running to Stand Still, Estelle with Superstition and more. You can buy the CD or download the whole album from the War Child shop.

There was a War Child charity gig straight after The Brit Awards at the 02 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Wednesday and stars including The Killers, Coldplay and Gary Barlow left the post awards parties early to play in front of 2,000 to support War Child. Below is a clip of the Coldplay and Gary Barlow singing Take That classic Back for Good. (The quality isn’t great as it’s from a mobile device, but looks like a great performance!)

War Child help to protect children by reintegrating child soldiers with their families and communities. Getting children off the street after war has forced them to flee their homes, separating children from adults in prison, rebuilding schools, lobbying politicians and empowering the public to get involved through information campaigns.
