In Britain, two women a week are killed by a current or former partner.

To highlight the horror of domestic abuse, Woman’s Aid have launched a national domestic violence awareness campaign with a short film called “CUT”, starring award winning actress Keira Knightley and directed by BAFTA winner Joe Wright.

The Woman’s Aid website has suggestions on how we can all raise awareness of domestic violence amongst our family, friends, colleagues and community. As well as this short film there are storylines addressing domestic violence currently running in Channel 4’s Shameless and the BBC’s Eastenders.
