Leave the first response September 26, 2009 / Posted in ShoppingH Samuel are doing their bit to support Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity by donating 10% from EVERY sale of their special new pink products. They have eight brand new products in the range including a Silver Heart Necklace, Me to You Fairy Dust bear, Heart and Key charm and an exclusive pink Guess Ladies’ 25 year anniversary watch
Breakthrough Breast Cancer relies on voluntary donations to tackle the disease through research, campaigning and education and needs to raise at least £19 million a year to support this vital work across the UK. As well as raising much needed revenue, the support of large companies such as H Samuel is invaluable to charities as it also introduces the charity to their customers, who may have been previously unaware of their existence.
Charities are struggling to raise funds in the current economic climate, so if you were already going to buy yourself or a loved one a gift from H Samuel, choose one from the Pink range instead. It will look just as beautiful, won’t cost you any extra and you will be helping to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Oxjam, Oxfams Music Festival Kicks off in October
Leave the first response September 25, 2009 / Posted in OxfamOxfam aim to raise money, end poverty and make good music this October with their month long music festival, Oxjam. This is no ordinary music festival where you pay through the nose for tickets for the pleasure of camping in a muddy field, trekking miles to see your favourite artist, then find your view blocked by a giant flag being waved manically by a stockbroker called Steve.
Oxjam is completely different, it is made up of hundreds of events taking place during October, organised by ordinary people, in local pubs, clubs and front rooms. There are events happening all over the country catering for all musical tastes, if it’s good music you’re after, you will most definitely find it at an Oxjam gig.
There are 24 main takeover events happening around the UK including the Oxjam Cardiff Takeover on Sunday 11th October, spread across four of Cardiff’s finest live music venues – Clwb Ifor Bach, Toucan, Dempseys, Y Fuwch Goch featuring the best of the Welsh musical scene.
The Oxjam Music Festival have posted a good luck message on You Tube to everyone taking part in this year’s festival. Quality tune, however look for the middle guy giving himself an injury at the end!
For more information on what gigs are taking place in your area, or if you want to get involved and set up your own Oxjam event, click here to visit the website and get more information.
