The site gives 50% of its gross revenue to the charity of the users’ choice. There is no cost to the user or the charity and the website enables you to select your favorite charity from the 170,000 that are registered in the UK.
Currently they have raised over £120,000 for charity and at the current rate of growth projections suggest this could exceed £1million by the end of 2007. Good luck to them in the forthcoming awards.
BHF Launch Valentine Appeal

To coincide with this year’s event The British Heart Foundation are running a Saving Lives campaign where they aim to raise £1 million to fund the Charity’s vital care work.
BHF explain on their Valentine mini-site about ho you can get involved! For example you can buy Valentine gifts, Give a gift of an hour of your salary, order a love song sweepstake or a Love Note pack for your workplace or visit your local BHF Shop to write a Love Note for £1 and post it in the window for all to see, or send one online.
You can even win a prize if you raise £40 or more from either a sweepstake poster or a Love Note pack!
Tom Baker Sings The Kinks For Charity
Leave the first response December 20, 2006 / Posted in NewsDuring December BT are supporting Shelter with the aim to raise at least £100,000 for the charity’s youth campaign now in it’s 40th year. Theyre are doing this this year with the help of Doctor Who and Little Britain star Tom Baker.
Tom has returned as the voice of BT Text, but with a twist. They have turned Tom Baker into a virtual pop star by using his text-to-landline voice to record BT’s very own charity single for Christmas – “You Really Got Me” by Brit rockers The Kinks! This unusual musical mix was created by Dr Who fanatic Mark Murphy and is endorsed by Welsh rappers Goldie Lookin’ Chain.
All proceeds for the single’s download sales will go directly to Shelter.
BT also invite you to have a little bit of fun this Christmas. Text any UK landline from your mobile or home phone 2 and that telephone will ring with Tom Baker’s voice reading out your message – raising money for charity at the same time.
Charity To Benefit from Diana Concert
Leave the first response December 13, 2006 / Posted in NewsPrince William and Prince Harry have announced a concert will be held at the new Wembley Stadium to commemorate the life of Diana, Princess of Wales. The concert will feature stars such as Sir Elton John and Duran Duran and tickets are on sale now from Concert for Diana, although at time of writing it appears the concert is already sold out – further tickets may be released for sale in the New Year.
Proceeds from the concert will go to charities supported by the late Princess, and to charities of which Prince William and Prince Harry are Patrons. These include Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, Sentebale, a new charity that helps vulnerable children and young people in Lesotho and the Royal Marsden and Great Ormond Street Hospitals, The Leprosy Mission, The National AIDS Trust and the English National Ballet.
