Charity To Benefit from Diana Concert
Leave the first response December 13, 2006 / Posted in NewsPrince William and Prince Harry have announced a concert will be held at the new Wembley Stadium to commemorate the life of Diana, Princess of Wales. The concert will feature stars such as Sir Elton John and Duran Duran and tickets are on sale now from Concert for Diana, although at time of writing it appears the concert is already sold out – further tickets may be released for sale in the New Year.
Proceeds from the concert will go to charities supported by the late Princess, and to charities of which Prince William and Prince Harry are Patrons. These include Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, Sentebale, a new charity that helps vulnerable children and young people in Lesotho and the Royal Marsden and Great Ormond Street Hospitals, The Leprosy Mission, The National AIDS Trust and the English National Ballet.

Stars Line Up For Children In Need
Leave the first response November 14, 2006 / Posted in NewsThe BBC’s annual charity event, Children in Need takes place on Friday 17th November and as ever there’s a whole host of celebrities joining Terry Wogan and Pudsey Bear to raise money for children’s charities. You can make donations online, or by visiting the official site find out more about how you can participate.
Amongst the stars taking part on Friday are McFly, Fearne Cotton, Girls Aloud, Sugababes and The BBC Newsreaders will be presenting a uniqiue tribute to James Bond. Emma Bunton will also be appearing and singing a cover of Petula’s 60s classic “Downtown” especially for the charity.
This year the Children in Need team aim to beat the £17,235,256 total which was raised in 2005.
