Leave the first response March 4, 2007 / Posted in WebsitesWall of Words are trying to build a brighter future for children with a fantastic and fun challenge. The challenge is to make the Wall of Words 1 mile long by the end of March 2007 – that’s a target of 50,000 words. When they achieve it, every word will turn to gold (or a £1 coin at least) and the £50,000 donation will be unlocked.
You can also win prizes as each brick added to the wall has the chance to win one of thirty iPod Nanos or one of three Macbook prizes. The prizes are hidden randomly behind the first 50,000 bricks on the Wall of Words. If your word lands on a lucky brick you will be notified by email before 14 April 2007. Closing date for competition entries is the 31st March 2007.
They’re just around half way to the 50,000 word total – so why not add a brick and support a worthy cause.

Bid For The Big Brother Bath And Emmaus UK
Leave the first response February 26, 2007 / Posted in AuctionsHere’s your chance to bid for the bath as seen in the recent, and probably most controversial, series of Celebrity Big Brother. The bath is the one that was in the servants quarters! Its freestanding victorian design and in very good order. Note that you must pick up the item if you win it – so that’s going to involve a trip to St Albans.
10% of the sale price will be donated to Emmaus UK. Emmaus Communities offer homeless people a home, work and the chance to regain self respect in a supportive community environment. The current bid is around £225 and the auction, currently running at eBay will close early afternoon on March 3rd.
