The Disaster Emergency Commission have issued an urgent appeal to help the people of Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam who have suffered 3 disasters in 4 days. From Saturday 26 September the East Asia region was hit by 3 separate natural disasters when thousands of people lost their lives and tens of thousands more were left homeless, and without sanitation, food or water.

The DEC constitutes 13 humanitarian charities that respond to international disasters, sending medical, food and shelter aid to areas of the world stricken by natural and man-made disasters. This disasters appeal has been launched to raise money to aid people who need emergency aid if they are to survive.

Please give what you can afford, £25 will feed 4 families for a month, £50 will provide basic household essentials for a family who have lost everything in the disaster, £100 pays for 5 tarpaulin shelters.
