Charity fund raising site Just Giving has apparently helped £250million to be raised since it started life online in 2003 according to today’s Guardian. BBC’s Sport Relief charity fundraising event was helped by a massive £5.5million mystery donation (The BBC). It was the largest telephone donation ever made in the 22 years of Comic Relief. March 10th to 16th is Prostrate Cancer Awareness Week and to support the cause Figleaves have teamed up with men’s underpants brand Canterbury to support prostrate cancer charity. They will be jointly donating £5 from every Canterbury product sold over Prostate Cancer Awareness Week to the Prostate Cancer Charity.

Actionaid have launched a new campaign to take on the big supermarkets with their Who Pays? campaign. Actionaid seeks to get the Government to regulate how UK supermarkets treat overseas suppliers. Lower prices for the consumer translate to lower pay and worse
conditions for people in developing nations, rather than lower profits for supermarkets.
