Hard Rock Pinktober 2009 Raising Money for the Caron Keating Foundation

To mark October being Breast Cancer Awareness month around the world, Hard Rock Cafes and Hotels are hosting Pinktober parties and live music events, to raise awareness of and money for local, national, and international charities such as The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and The Caron Keating Foundation. This year is the 10 year anniversary of Hard Rock’s support in raising awareness and finding a search for a cure for breast cancer.

There are still a couple of events in the UK coming up including Mark Rueberry with support acts live at the Hard Rock Cafe in Cardiff on Wed 28th October- the only entrance fee is a £5 donation to the Caron Keating Foundation.

The Women of Rock @ Royal Albert Hall charity gig is taking place on November 1st and features brilliant female singers including Melanie C, Joss Stone, Bananarama and Bonnie Tyler. Below is a clip of the brilliant Melanie C performing in aid of the Caron Keating Foundation as part of Pinktober at the Hard Rock Cafe in Manchester in October 2008.

This gig was filmed using three camcorders and the with the help of Melanie’s fans! The whole gig is now available to buy on DVD and all profits from the release will go to the charity.
