Adopt a Scottish Dolphin with WDCS
Leave the first response April 26, 2010 / Posted in Animal WelfareThe WDCS (Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society) are a charity whose aim is to protect whales and dolphins from the ever increasing dangers they face in today’s modern world. WDCS have also done some adverts to highlight the plight of these creatures including the tongue in cheek effort below.
The WDCS are giving you the chance to help save dolphins by offering ones up for adoption! It’s ok, you won’t have to build Seaworld in your back garden, they will staying at their home in the Scotland’s Moray Firth.
Dolphins currently up for adoption include Sundance, Nevis, Rainbow, Moonlight, Spirit and Mischief. I like the sound of Mischief! Adopt one today for £4 a month and as well as knowing you are helping the dolphins have a future, you will get a personalised certificate, an interactive DVD of whales and dolphins, a fluffy toy dolphin with the name of your adopted dolphin on too!
Unlike most animal adoptions, especially ones overseas in the wild, you can visit your dolphin in it’s natural habitat! The WDCS website gives you the best places and times to visit and see your dolphin. Also you can visit one of their centres where you can find out more about these beautiful creatures.
